Another Geico spoof made for BAY Rally 45. Hope you enjoy.

The theme for the BAY Rally’s this year is Fame – Somebody’s Always Watching.

The Gieco Kash commercials started airing after we chose that theme and it worked out perfectly for short funny videos. We did one for Rally 44 and we are doing two or three for the upcoming one.

This was an idea that I had late at night. It came from the sub-theme of the previous rally, Stunt Double, which focused on being yourself and not being Fake. I hope you enjoy it.

I also got to use After Effects for something else beside’s titles for this one. Originally, we did not have the real money stack, but I had pictures of it, so I did a little special effects with this one. My first video to use special effects!

This was made for the Nikon Festival. The idea is very lightly based off of August Burns Red’s music video, Composure.
This was shot and edited in about 12 hours. We started filming on a Friday afternoon at 3:30 and got done Saturday morning at 1:20.
This was shot in Central, MN in the middle of December. It was cold. So cold in fact that our camera (a Nikon D5000), after about 10 minutes of being outside, would stop functioning.
We even had a fire start because a light bulb exploded. It was the hardest, yet most fun video I have filmed yet.

When Nikon first announced the Nikon Festival, this was the first thing that I thought of. The themes was A Day Through Your Lens. So essentially this is what my day looks like.
To film it, I bought a Nikon D5000. Then I started filming it.
It didn’t turn out how I had imagined it. In fact I had to change the ending three times. It should have taken me one day, but I spent four days filming it.
I did all the music, editing, filming, everything.

Matthew Loberg is part of the BAY Ministries Dream Team. The team is responsible for the planning of the BAY Rallies that happen 3 times a year.

This was shot with a Sony Handcam mini-DVD. Using no tripod, lighting, external mics, and only a handful of people. It was shot in less then 30 minutes and edited in about an hour.

This was the intro video for the 44th BAY Rally in Brainerd, MN. After the movie is done, a dummy drops from the ceiling and then Justin jumps out and gives Dean his sticks.

This was the first ever video that Matt did for BAY. It was the most talked about thing for a couple weeks. We still hear about it today.

It was filmed using a JVC Everio. It took about four Fridays to shoot and was a pain to edit.

We wouldn’t recommend the Everio. It shoots in a really weird format that you have to convert first before you can use it.

This was also part of the first batch of videos we did.

Up to this point we had been using Movie Maker and Cinelerra (Linux). This was also done is Cinelerra, but we had to import some audio and that messed with the output options we had and that’s why it’s really small.

There is a little story behind this, Conner and I (Matt) were driving to work (we both worked at the same place) and the car ride can get a little long. My radio wasn’t working correctly so we were really bored. Conner has these multiple personalities that he likes to play with. So he pulled them out and did a news cast. When we were trying to figure ideas for videos, he suggested this and we did it pretty much exactly like in the car.

This was also another one of our first videos.

Conner Meyer is one amazing (and weird) person. He can pull out three or four different personalities, each with a different out look on life, voice, and history. In this one he explores Chip. A middle aged man facing some difficulties and has some weird ideas.
